Habib Sholeh (2025) : The role of Al Ansor Islamic Boarding School in empowering the community in Southeast Padangsidimpuan Sub district.
This study is based on the importance of Islamic boarding schools not only as religious educational institutions but also as centers of community empowerment. Al Ansor Islamic Boarding School in Southeast Padangsidimpuan is one of Islamic Boarding School that actively contributes to enhancing community capacity through educational, social, and economic activities. The purpose of this research is to examine the role of
Al Ansor Islamic Boarding School in community empowerment. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that Al Ansor Islamic Boarding plays a significant role in community zempowerment through four aspects: educative, by providing education and moral development; technical, by offering skills training and productive economic activities; facilitative, by enabling community access to social programs; and representative, by serving as a bridge between the community and external stakeholders. These roles have contributed to strengthening religious values, improving economic skills, and fostering social solidarity within the local community.
